2012 COMPETITION CALENDAR
IMPORTANT NOTICE
It is disappointing that the association continues receiving calls from the councils within our district advising us that players/teams from our member clubs are using other sporting group grounds or other clubs fields for training. This is despite several notices already being sent by both councils and the association.
We understand that as the competition gets closer training becomes more of a priority however due to the amount of rain that we have received in the last month, most grounds still cannot sustain training on the fields. If a club has closed its fields, or if a council has closed fields, these closures must be respected by all, they have been put in place for a very good reason.
Perhaps it’s time to tell your players that life as we know it will go on even if they don’t train.
The condition of some fields is so precarious, that a significant portion of the early season is in jeopardy for them. Having thoughtless teams using other fields without an agreement in place between the two clubs further compounds a clubs ability to have their fields ready for the start of the season.
All clubs are instructed to forward this email to all teams. Please inform your members that if your ground is closed – it is closed. If you have not sourced alternative fields do not use another clubs grounds or another sports fields. The association hopes that we do not have to resort to punitive or disciplinary measures against teams that go against this directive, however, these measures are now being seriously considered.
Currently, any repairs to damage that is done to a field while it is considered unfit for use is paid for by the club who controls the fields. If your teams are found to be training on another clubs field, without permission of that club, your club will be invoiced for the repairs required to that field.
Continued disregard for this directive may impact on your clubs fixtures at the start of the season. We hope that this practice stops forthwith.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR IDEAS FROM ALL THE BAND CLUB LADIES (PLAYERS,MUMS,SISTERS,AUNTS,GRANDMOTHERS) FOR FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES INVOLVING THE LADIES .IF YOU HAVE ANY GOOD IDEAS FOR FUND RAISERS THIS SEASON PLEASE SEND THEM TO
